Communimetrics Group was established in response to a burgeoning need for web-based technology, data
systems design, and program implementation to support the use of the CANS/ANSA/FAST methodology. Developed
by John S. Lyons, Ph.D as a communication integration tool, the CANS/ANSA measures clinical client outcomes
in a variety of settings.
Communimetrics Group offers consultation related to all aspects of CANS/ANSA/FAST implementation, from
staff training to program evaluation, from data system design to data analysis, Communimetrics Group
translates CANS/ANSA/FAST from concept to reality.
Expanding on the notion of communication integration, Communimetrics Group has created tools for Mental
Health, Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice and other specific populations. CANS Central, a virtual Community
Center for users of the CANS/ANSA methodology. At CANS Central, users can participate in online CANS/ANSA/FAST
training and recertification; access web-based CANS/ANSA/FAST, research CANS/ANSA/FAST data from across
the nation.
Communimetrics Group offers customized data management systems to CANS/ANSA/FAST users, allowing for
web-based data collection and management, customized outcome and management reports to document program/treatment
effectiveness. Applications can be hosted by Communimetrics Group or can be adapted to be hosted by
the client's own IS department.
